As a way of thinking about some common issues in social scientific research, take another listen to the first 1:44 of the radio piece on the ‘myth’ of gun ownership that I played at the end of class. Pause the playback at 1:44, and try to write down any defects you can think of in the Kleck & Gertz study. We’ll listen to the rest of it in class and discuss.
